1906 W601 Sporting Life Team Composite Portfolio Premium Brooklyn, N.L.Sporting Life Magazine was a marketing machine for baseball in the early 20th century. For the same 10-year span they advertised and sold what we now call W600 Cabinet cards of individual players, they sold large paper portfolios annually with team composites for the same 1902-11 time span. These are approx.. 13 x 14" composites with roughly 20 players each with heavy paper covers and back covers and string binding. These same images were also used for a set of postcards in 1906. Offered is the 1906 Brooklyn National League Baseball Club. These large Sporting Life portfolio sized composites make for great collectibles and are perfect for matting and framing.There is only very light wear with No major creasing, folds, marks, tares, ect. Corners are sharp and binding holes are intact.
